Lucia Caminos is one of the two playable protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI and the first woman to lead a mainline GTA game since the top-down era. Rockstar introduced her in Trailer 1 (December 2023) in a Leonida penitentiary and in front of a parole board, and fleshed her out in the May 2025 site update: raised in Liberty City by a father who taught her to fight, she moved with her family to Leonida chasing a better life, and her fresh start ended with a prison sentence. Official material frames her release as the start of the story — out on parole, bound to Jason Duval by circumstance and ambition, and determined never to go back inside. Rockstar's tagline for the pair: only trust the people closest to you.
